Collection Methods. Netlux uses common information-gathering tools, such as cookies and web beacons, to collect various information as Users navigate the Website. Below is a list describing methods by which Netlux may collect and use User Information.

  • Web Beacons and Cookies. Netlux uses web beacons, alone or in conjunction with cookies, to collect Usage Information regarding Users’ interaction with emails they receive from Netlux and to provide basic website functionality and usage information. A web beacon is an electronic object embedded in a web page or email that can recognize certain types of information on a User’s computer, such as the time and date of a page viewed, and a description of where the web beacon is placed. For example, web beacons that Netlux places in outbound marketing emails will notify Netlux when the recipients open an email or navigate to the Website by clicking a link located within in the email. Netlux typically uses web beacons to assist operation of the Website and improve Netlux’s email communications. Users may be able to disable web beacons in email messages by not downloading external objects contained in the message they receive (this feature varies depending on the email software used on the User’s personal computer). However, doing this may not always disable a web beacon or other automatic data collection tools in the email message due to specific email software capabilities. A web cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the User’s system by their web browser so that the website can maintain the context of User interactions. Users may disable or delete cookies by settings within their browser (refer to “cookie” in your browser Help). For more information about this, please refer to the information provided by your email or browser software or service provider.
  • IP Addresses. Netlux collects User IP addresses to track and aggregate User Information. For example, Netlux uses IP addresses to identify the geographic regions from which Users access and use the Website. Netlux uses IP addresses in part to assist with ensuring compliance with security and legal requirements, and to identify Website access or use that may otherwise violate the Website’s terms of use.

User Management. Users have options for controlling how Netlux is allowed to use certain information. Users may manage their receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of Netlux emails. Additionally, a User may email communication preferences to randomhelpline@gmail.com. Registered Users cannot opt out of receiving transactional emails related to their active Website accounts.

Data Subject Rights. Users have rights to access, correct, erase or otherwise control the collection and processing of their User information. If at any time a User wishes to revise any information Netlux maintains about the User, or otherwise change or discontinue the use to which such information can be put, the User should contact Netlux’s Data Protection Officer at: randomhelpline@gmail.com.
